Data We Process for Age Assurance and Estimation:
We may receive age range information through platform APIs (Google Play Age Signals or Apple Declared Age Range) without collecting or storing precise dates of birth from these sources. When you provide a selfie for our in-house facial age estimation, our ML system processes the image solely to analyze facial features for age estimation purposes.
We want to be clear:
- No Selfie Storage: The selfie image itself is deleted once the age estimation process has concluded.
- No Direct Identification: The ML system estimates age only and does not identify you or create a permanent biometric profile for re-identification. Processing focuses exclusively on age-indicative patterns.
- Minimal Data: We process only the data necessary for age estimation or to act on platform-provided age signals.
- No training: The selfie you provide us will not be used to train our ML systems.
- Purpose Limitation and Retention: Age-related data is used exclusively for age assurance, content appropriateness, and legal compliance. We do not use it for advertising, profiling, or unrelated purposes. We retain such data only as long as necessary and in accordance with platform policies (e.g., no long-term storage of Google Play Age Signals where prohibited).
